KBA Consciousness Engine
Explore a theoretical framework and knowledge model for understanding civilizational consciousness — how knowledge, intelligence, and civilization interrelate.
Problem Statement
The KBA13 mission connects knowledge, intelligence, and civilization, but there is no structured model to represent and reason about these relationships. This concept explores whether one can be built.
Target Users
- Researchers in the humanities and social sciences
- KBA13 Academy faculty
- Scholars of civilization and knowledge
Workflow
At the concept stage, work focuses on defining dimensions, mapping a knowledge model, and specifying a civilizational framework — before any software is built.
Features
- A proposed set of consciousness/knowledge dimensions
- A civilizational framework
- A knowledge model specification
- A plan for future AI integration
Methodology
Theory-first. The framework is developed from scholarship and refined through discussion; computational modeling is a later, separate phase.
Data Requirements
No operational data yet. Future phases would define scholarly sources and structured knowledge inputs.
Input & Output
Input
Scholarly concepts, definitions, and structured knowledge (future).
Output
A documented conceptual framework and, in later phases, a knowledge map (future).
Limitations
Ethics
As a theoretical project, it emphasizes intellectual honesty, clear acknowledgment of speculation, and respect for the traditions it draws upon.
Current Status
Concept. Framework and terminology are being drafted; no implementation exists.
Roadmap
Specify the framework and terminology.
Refine through scholarly critique.
Draft a formal knowledge model.
Assess feasibility of AI integration.
Technical Notes & Future Integration
None yet. Future work would explore knowledge-graph and language-model approaches.
Any future integration would connect to the Research Center and be developed responsibly with human scholarship at the center.
