This policy governs how artificial intelligence is used in analytical work taught and practiced within the School.

AI May Assist With

  • Summarization and translation
  • Classification and comparison
  • Timeline construction
  • Hypothesis generation
  • Drafting, formatting, and source organization

AI May Not Be Treated As

  • An original source
  • A final authority
  • Proof of an allegation
  • An independent verification mechanism
  • A substitute for human judgment or legal authorization

Requirements

Every AI-assisted workflow must include source verification, prompt and output logging where appropriate, human review, disclosure, model-version recording, and a documented correction procedure.
