Integrity Standards

Research integrity requires honesty about data fabrication, data falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, conflict of interest, research-participant protection, informed consent, privacy, confidentiality, protection of vulnerable participants, data security, responsible correction, publication transparency, and AI disclosure.

Explicitly Prohibited

• Invented interviews or survey responses
• Fabricated quotations or references
• Manipulated data
• AI-generated findings presented as collected evidence
• Ghostwriting of assessed student work
• Submission of unreviewed AI output as original research
