Commissioned Research
Defined research delivered for an agreed institutional question, scope and timeline.
Overview
Commissioned Research
Commissioned Research answers a specific question for a specific client, such as a ministry, university, NGO or company, within an agreed scope, method, timeline and confidentiality framework. The client defines the question; the research team retains responsibility for methods and conclusions.
Every commission begins with a scoping conversation and a written terms of reference covering deliverables, data access, ethics and publication rights. Findings are delivered as reports and briefings, and where the client agrees, a public version may be published.
